I adopted my rat terrier mix 14 years ago from Winnie Berry and "Lucky" is still with me and still in relatively good health. He has been the best pet and the adoption process was so easy and simple. If I ever choose to adopt again, I will definitely feel good about the adoption center and go there again. I wish the family that surrendered him knew what a happy life he has had.

Thank you all.

Very friendly staff. The dogs were well cared for, the kennels were clean. One staff member showed my husband all the dogs in our age and size range. Unfortunately we didn't find our furbaby that trip.

I am very proud of the record number of spay/neuter surgeries completed in 2020. I am grateful for this service to residents of Angelina County, as well as Trinity, Houston, and Polk counties. Thank you for this critical effort to reduce the the huge number of homeless pets, & county dumping.

Very sweet ppl who seem to truly care about animals. The staff are patient and kind. We've had to take two rescues to them and they accepted them with proof of vaccination and a small fee. This shelter is a no kill shelter and so they test for heartworms and are sure to have them altered before adopting them out. I'll definitely be donating to these guys in the future. Ppl should consider doing so as well if you'd like to help a worthy cause.

Place was very clean! Didn't stink like most places do! Staff was very friendly and polite! All the kitties/cats were cute and well taken care of! Looking for a cat/dog, this is ur place!

Love the fact that they are a no-kill shelter. Also if you are unable to pay for your pets rabies shots or to have them spayed or neutered they are willing to help you.

We got our sweet Lil boy from here & let me say he was the perfect match. The staff is extremely helpful in every way. They took the time to answer everyone of my questions as well as asking their coworkers the same questions which results in having many point of views. It's refreshing to have a stuff who fully communicate with each other & work so hard to give you every answer they can provide to make sure you know that the animal is the perfect match
